What is the Role of a School Counselor?

According to the American School Counselor Association (ASCA), school counselors "are certified/licensed educators who improve student success for ALL students by implementing a comprehensive school counseling program". School counselors help all students with academic achievement, planning for postsecondary careers, and their social/emotional needs. 

EPAMS has 2 school counselors: Ms. Baker serves all of 6th grade and the 7th grade Olympians team. Ms. Behr serves the 7th grade Titans team and all of 8th grade. We have a counseling office secretary, Mrs. Autieri, who is a great asset to our office and students.
