Ana Hammaker
Anna Hammaker teaches Spanish for 8th grade at the Middle School and 9-12 grades at the High School. She also provides ELD Learning Support to Ms. Kroh at the High School. Ana is originally from Venezuela, where she received her bachelor's degree in advertising and public relations from the University of Zulia. Her native language is Spanish. Here in the United States, she is certified as a Spanish teacher by Wilson College. She is currently taking more courses to add ESL certification to my teaching license. Ana started in East Pennsboro supporting the ELD department as a paraprofessional in 2022. Her first year as a Spanish teacher was 2024.
Ana says: "I moved to this country in search of a better future. The Journey of adaptation was challenging—adjusting to the climate, economic system, work environment, culture, and language. However, my perseverance, growth mindset, and resilience have brought me to where I am today. Now, I am proud to have a fulfilling career as a teacher, and I am committed to continuing my professional growth. I have been happily married for six years and am blessed with an adorable 8-month-old daughter. In my free time, I enjoy spending quality moments with my family and staying active through regular workouts. Being a teacher and serving in East Pennsboro is my way of giving back to all the wonderful things this country and its people have given me."
