David Wright

For Mr. David Wright, the 2025-26 school year is his 29th year as an educator, his 19th as an administrator. Mr. Wright served as an assistant principal and principal in Dauphin and Lebanon counties, both as a middle school and high school principal, before returning to East Pennsboro as middle school principal to begin the 2021-22 academic year.

Mr. Wright grew up in the city of Philadelphia, the son of a Philadelphia Police Officer, and graduated from Lebanon Valley College with a degree in English. He later earned his Master’s Degree at California University of Pennsylvania. He is also a veteran of the US Navy.

After spending a year as a substitute teacher in multiple districts, Mr. Wright spent nine years serving the East Pennsboro community as a high school English teacher from 1998 through 2006, followed by a year as the EPAHS Dean of Students. He then spent six years as an assistant principal and principal in the Central Dauphin School District, four years as principal at Annville-Cleona Secondary School, and four years as principal of Dauphin County Technical School.

Mr. Wright is married to Greta, and they have two great kids. Tanner is a graduate of Millersville University and a 2nd Lieutenant in the PA National Guard. Quinn is dually enrolled Freshman at HACC and Senior at Halifax High School where she is recognized as an outstanding student and musician, serving as the Halifax High School Marching Band Drum Major.

In his spare time, Mr. Wright enjoys playing golf (poorly), reading, following his beloved Philadelphia sports, and planning his next trip to discover a new place.
