Matt Uhrich

Matt Uhrich teaches 7th grade Literacy in Action and is the Gifted Support Teachers for Grades 6-8.  He is also the High School Girls Soccer Coach, Middle School Basketball Coach, and Middle School Soccer Coach.  Matt has 23 years of teaching experience.  He received his Bachelors in Elementary Education from York College and his Masters in Curriculum and Assessment from Wilkes University.

 

Matt says:  "I have a beautiful wife named Traci who is an Instructional coach.  I have 3 wonderful children, Devin, my oldest, is currently attending the Naval Academy in Annapolis.  Logan, my second child, is attending CASA for theatre.  Riley, my youngest, is a freshman at East Penn High School who plays on the soccer team.  I have been coaching soccer for over 20 years here at East Pennsboro.  I love coaching the game of soccer because of all the life lessons you learn along the way.  I have countless memories of my former players and have made numerous connections with them as they move on in their lives.  My family and I love going to the beach every summer.  Our 2 favorite beaches are Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, and Wildwood, New Jersey.  We have 2 golden retrievers named Buddy and Indy.  We love spending time with the dogs at the beach or just laying around and watching a good movie!"
